Exhibition No. 2

My name is Mina, and I am an artist. Professionally, I am a textiles technologist with a speciality in dyeing and printing, but I have always had a passion for painting and felt connected to art.

About 17 years ago I enrolled in acrylic workshops to advance my painting skills. While I continued painting in acrylic, I also joined watercolour art classes. There, I found a new challenge. Not only do watercolours appeal to my creative side, but they also challenge my patience.

Painting has become part of my soul, so much so that, when I close my eyes, I see swirling colours and dancing paint brushes which shape a beautiful world around me.

I took refuge in painting when everything outside my family life seemed harsh and hopeless. My art is a connection with nature and my inner feelings. Each artwork exposes my feelings at that moment of time.
