Aleah Henry is a Hamilton-based artist focused on realistic portrait pencil drawing. Her detail-oriented approach captures the power of eyes and facial expressions, drawing viewers into the story through emotional connections.

Aleah experiments with other mediums such as ink, watercolour, and acrylic paints, sometimes incorporating them into her graphite drawings. In addition to working with various textures of paper, she also uses canvas and wood panelling as substrates for her pieces. Aleah creates in a way that speaks to her in the moment and often switches between truthful representations and combining colours and shapes into patterns or abstractions.

Aleah occasionally teaches painting classes and loves bringing the enjoyment of art to others in an accessible way.
