Exhibition No. 3

Anita Thomas is a visual artist and photographer with passions laying in aerial, aviation, landscape and street photography. Her work hangs in private collections and professional offices throughout Canada, the United States, France, Australia, New Zealand, Ireland, and the United Kingdom.

“The expression of art in architecture is evident in many ways. From the smallest of details to the overall impact we’re hit with through form, it is an important, enduring mark we leave on this earth. Throughout the world we have studied civilizations through their art and architecture.

As both a visual artist and a photographer, and one who enjoys the post-production editing of photography, I adore the artistic technique of Intentional Camera Movement (ICM). I love the abstracted results of moving the camera as I depress the shutter. Then enhancing the shadows and highlights in post-production allows me to creatively push the boundaries of what started off as something as simple as a drab tree trunk in winter.

I just love the freedom to explore and experiment with this unique form of photography.”
