Aleah Henry is a Hamilton-based artist focused on portrait drawings of animals and people. She aims to capture the power of eyes and expressions to draw viewers into the work through emotional connections. She experiments with mediums like graphite, ink, watercolour and acrylic paints, sometimes taking a mixed media approach to incorporate them into a single artwork.

Aleah creates in a way that speaks to her in the moment and often switches between truthful representations and combing colours and shapes into patters or abstractions.

Aleah occasionally teaches paint nights and loves bringing the enjoyment of art to others in an accessible way.
