Exhibition No. 4

Art has always been in Dean Ellis’ life. Since she was a child, Dean has been surrounded by art and artists so it’s a natural progression of events and influence that she ended up being some form of artist.

Dean has a formal education in fine art, and in the past was extensively involved in the graphic arts fields for many years. She now works in what she calls the ‘fine arts’ – and gets to do it for herself. As Dean is currently retired, she has been able to get back to her art practice – whether it is 3D, 2D, photography, written word or anything else that might catch her interest. Recently the emphasis has been primarily 2D work and photography, with the occasional dabbling in 3D, resulting in some interesting juxtapositions and results.
