Rawan Elchaar’s work explores the intersection of memory, landscape, and emotion. She aims to create a sense of depth and transcendence, inviting viewers to immerse themselves as they contemplate their own connection to what they see. The interplay of light and shadow, the tension between stillness and movement, and the dialogue between the seen and the unseen are recurring themes in her work.

Rawan strives to immerse the viewer in another reality, if only for a short time, whether to escape or to contemplate. With her art, she wants to draw out something deep within, make you see something a little differently, focus on it a little longer, and pay a little more attention.

Through delicate washes of colour and intricate layering, she seeks to create an atmosphere that resonates with the viewer’s own experiences and emotions. Rawan’s work is an invitation to pause, to look closer, and to find moments of stillness and beauty amidst the chaos of everyday life.
