Art has been woven into the fabric of Dean Ellis’ life from the beginning. Growing up surrounded by art and artists naturally led him to develop his own artistic path. With formal training in Fine Art and an extensive career in graphic arts, Ellis has now embraced retirement as an opportunity to fully immerse himself in what he calls the ‘fine arts,’ creating purely for personal expression.

Currently, his work emphasizes 2D art and photography, though he sometimes “plays” with 3D elements to create interesting juxtapositions. His art is not done on any grand scale, in fact, most of it is quite small, and he asks, “Does size really matter in this? Art in any form should always be a reservoir of the heart and mind, open to any who wish to see it.”
