Born in Havana, Cuba, Geysel Minoso has found it challenging to navigate life without the guidance to explore her aspirations. Raised in circumstances where opportunities were scarce and familial support was absent, she found solace in learning from friends and other families.

Geysel’s yearning for freedom and self-expression became a driving force. In 2008, she moved to Ontario, Canada, and like many dreams, she had to put art on the back burner as she settled into her new life, pivoting to pursue studies in esthetics.

For 16 years she dedicated herself to this craft by day while nurturing her passion for painting in her studio (which also happened to be her laundry room) at night. In 2015, experimenting with various hues, mediums, and techniques, Minoso’s artistic identity was created.
