Gord Barker
Bio / Artist Statement
After purchasing his first camera at the age of nine, Gord Barker has enjoyed a long and varied career in the field of photography. He has worked in, and managed, several retail photographic shops. He was a founding member of the Cambridge Photo Secession, a small group of dedicated photographers who shared a studio and darkroom space in the Galt section of Cambridge, Ontario. Founder of the Paris Photo Collective, his photographs have been shown at the Taren White Gallery, The Gem, and the Dog-Eared Cafe in Paris, Ontario. He currently makes and markets photos from the beautiful town of Paris, Ontario, where he makes his home, as well as from his travels around the province and beyond.
