Karen Klucowicz

Bio / Artist Statement

Karen Klucowicz is a Canadian artist creating concept-driven, figurative, abstract art — with a body of work that focuses on the strength of individuals and how that strength affects relationships.

Karen’s paintings evoke emotional (and sometimes physical) responses that often surprise her collectors with body-positive images, flesh tones that are not culture specific, bold expressive colours, and texture.

While Klucowicz has drawn and painted since her earliest recollections, her creative career began as an interior designer (Humber College). Years later, she returned to study at the Ontario College of Art & Design (Toronto). In 2016, Klucowicz made a dedicated return to her first love of fine art. Her studio is located in the DyeWorks Building at The Cotton Factory in Hamilton, Ontario.
