Exhibition No. 5

A mother and grandmother, Karen Logan was born and raised in Hamilton and has been interested in art her entire life. She is the current President/Treasurer for the Women’s Art Association of Hamilton, Vice President for the Southern Ontario Nature and Science Illustrators, an elected member of the Colour and Form Society, and a member of the Burlington Fine Arts Association and the Central Ontario Arts Association.

As a lifelong learner with three Honours Visual Arts certificates from Mohawk College, Karen is always seeking new opportunities to explore different forms of media. She currently works between coloured pencil, pastel, acrylic, and Chinese Brush Painting.

Originally a mechanical draftsperson and technical illustrato,r Karen prefers detailed, illustrative work including botanicals, birds, and animals. Her love of nature and native species has been the focus of her most recent works capturing the beauty and the amazing biodiversity around Hamilton.
