Exhibition No. 5

Lisa Jefferies is an emerging artist from Waterdown, Ontario, who captures ephemeral moments of love and magic. Her background in museum studies at the University of Toronto gave her opportunities to explore the human desire to make, collect, and share art that has bound entire cultures together throughout history.

While primarily an oil painter, she also enjoys experimenting with collage and watercolours. Her artistic influences include T.S. Eliot, 1970s progressive rock bands, and decomposing sticks covered in lichen. She has the pleasure of being able to call many talented artists in the Hamilton area her friends and is learning from them constantly.

Lisa was a featured artist at the Art Gallery of Hamilton’s 2024 SoundBites Emerging Artist Retreat and a participant in Dundas Valley School of Art’s 10th annual Little Black Frame fundraiser. She has previously sold works through DVSA’s 2023 and 2024 annual art auctions.
