Maria H. Sarkany SCA is a visual artist born and educated in Europe. She received early fine art training and graduated from the School of Fine Arts in the Faculty of Textile. She is the winner of the 1999 Royal Canadian Mint contest. Her 25-cent coin design is “A Nation of People”.

Maria has had numerous solo, juried, and group exhibitions throughout North America and Europe. Her award-winning paintings and graphic works are held in corporate and private collections across three continents.
