A self-taught artist and educator in Hamilton, Ontario, Nancy Benoy’s practice spans over 20 years. Her art and teaching are rooted in self-expression, experimentation, process, and curiosity. Curiosity is at the core of her art practice.

The potential of colour, shapes, patterns, and textures, and their interaction, influence Nancy to create pieces that spark delight. Nancy started her practise as a painter, creating forms using texture and colour, and more recently, expanded into three-dimensional and sculptural works using discarded objects and wood offcuts to move more sustainably in her practice.
