Ing Collins

Bio / Artist Statement

Incorporating colour, shape, patterns and texture is Ing’s way to express her art. She strives to find connection to the world around her. Art is not only a joyful venture, but also therapeutic. Her creativity is channeled through her love of painting, as well as pottery. To realize her goal to improve, Ing has enrolled in numerous art classes.

Ing has participated successfully in previous Dundas Valley School of Art auctions and its Black Frame events. Her painting have been in exhibition at the Art in the Workplace (Hamilton, ON), Women’s Art Association of Hamilton at the Cotton Factory, as well as in local MPP’s office in Dundas.

Her inspiration is ever evolving. When Ing is out and about, either walking, hiking or travelling, she takes advantage of these opportunities to capture references or moments for her art making, be it landscape, floral, portraiture or abstract; sometimes even impromptu subjects.

Her goal is to have fun and find joy through the arts.
